Policy of the Hill Club on Reservation Done For Temporary Members (Tourists)

1. A person who is a non resident of Sri Lanka, who visits Sri Lanka on a tourist Visa – She/he is eligible to be accommodated as a temporary member (tourist) at the Hill Club.

2. Temporary members are not permitted to entertain any resident of Sri Lanka to the Club (Drivers, Sri Lankan partners, etc) Other than members of the Club.

3. Temporary members should respect and adhere to Club Rules.

4. Dress Code-
Club Dress Code is effective from 7 pm onwards. Whoever, needs to utilize the Mixed Bar, Main Dining Room, Mixed Lounge, the Gentleman are requested to be attired In jacket and tie and the ladies should be in suitable attire for the evening. No jeans, denims will be permitted in these areas. Whoever, who wish to be in casual (in accepted manner – no shorts, no slippers or three quarters during dinner time) they could dine in the “Lilly Restaurant” (Casual dining room) and the Casual Bar. If required Jackets and ties could be borrowed from the Club, free of charge.

5. Smoking –
As per the Government regulations, smoking is not permitted in public areas. A smoking room has been allocated for smokers in the Billiards Room, due to cold weather conditions.

6. Child Policy –
Children under the age of 5 years are not permitted within the main building of Hill Club. Guest with children under the age of 5 years could be accommodated in the Chalet family rooms. A family room is designed to accommodate 2 adults, 2 children and a toddler.

7. Mobile Phones –
Use of Mobile phones is not permitted in the Main Dining Room, Mixed Lounge, Lilly Restaurant (Casual Dining Room), Reading Room, Mixed and Casual Bar, Monsoon Room and the Billiard Room. However, the phones could be kept on silenced mood and could be used in the corridor or in the telephone booth.

8. Room facilities –
All bedrooms are fitted with a TV and a DVD player, a Tea/Coffee maker and a Hair drier. A good selection of DVD movies are available and could be borrowed free of charge from the Reception for viewing pleasure.

9. Meal Times –
Breakfast -  7 am to 10.00 am
Lunch -      12 noon to 2.30 pm
Dinner -      7 pm to 10.30 pm

10. Bar Open Time - 
As per the Excise Regulations the Bar will be open from 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 11 pm. Bar will be closed on Poya days and Excise Holidays.

11. Gym –
A mini Gym is available with a tread mill to be used by guest, free of charge, at their own risk. No Gym instructor is available.

12. Safety Lockers –
Safety Lockers are available for in-house guest, free of charge at the Front Office cashier. Please contact the reception for further details. The Club will not be held responsible for any valuables kept unattended.

13. Parking –
Available at owners risk. The club will not be held responsible for any damage.

14. Chauffer’s and Nannies –
Chauffer’s and Nannies are not permitted in the Guest rooms or Public areas They are provided suitable accommodation.

15. Tipping of staff - 
Tipping of staff is not permitted. However, contributions could be made at the Gift box made available near the reception area, in appreciation of services rendered, which will be equally distributed among all staff every quarterly.

16. Check in time –
Check in time 2 pm and checkout time 12 noon.

17. Open Hours –
Club is open from 6 am to 12 midnight.

18. Cancellation Policy - 
Normal Cancellation by either party is 14 days.
No show & Last minute cancellation, Room only Basis will be charged for the number of dates booked.
